Great Sales at badminton!

Collier and Dobson are having a fantastic weekend at the Badminton Horse trials this weekend, with really great feedback on my new work and four paintings of varying sizes allready sold, two more days to go, so I guess I could be pretty busy originating new peices!

Experimenting with ‘Marsh Grasses in water’.

Took some photos back in February when walking on Cley Marshes, the grasses in the water looked stunning, thought I would see how they worked as a painting. Have enjoyed the colour combination of the reflective blues and the straw yellows.Marsh Grasses3Marsh Grasses 2Marsh Grasses 1

‘Startled’ work in progress

Starting the week with a new Hare painting , a young ‘Leveret’ sitting amongst grasses. This piece is possibly going to ‘Flint’ Gallery in Norfolk along with the ‘Greylag Geese’.
I’m pleased with the way the painting is going and will just be working into the tone and colour to bring depth and weight to the finished painting. Next job will be making up new canvases for some coastal ‘Seascapes’ and ‘Dunes’. Busy, busy, busy!Startled Work in progress

‘Greylag Geese’

New painting for ‘Flint’ Gallery in Blakeney Norfolk.

Whilst having my birthday weekend in Morston a few weeks ago we walked from Cley to Salt House and I took some photos of a pair of ‘Greylag Geese’ near ‘Cley Spy’. The outcome of which is a new piece for the Gallery.

There will be more along this theme as the summer progresses as I have just bought a new 70 – 300mm Canon lens for my camera and will be getting in real close!
